Print Specs: How to Set Up Print Layouts.

Items that go onto a print layout: Crop Marks, Color Bars, Registration Marks, Bleed and space must be provided for gripper. These days, inposition software can take care of most of the stuff for you, but some shops still require these print layouts to be done manually

Below is a sample of a standard print layout on an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper. Usually the sheet sizes used are much larger for a full color press, but for this example we'll use a smaller sheet. Providing additional space for these items must be taken into consideration when choosing the best way to run a project, how many up and on what size sheet.
