Seen a font you like and want to know its name?
MyFonts.com has the perfect solution. You can scan in and upload a sample of the font in question and their
WhatTheFont online software tries to match it against their database of fonts. If that doesn’t work (which I have to admit, it’s been more misses than hits for me) your ‘case’ will go to the “WhatTheFont Forum” where font enthusiasts will review your font and let you know what it is. I’ve found that once it goes to the forum it doesn’t take long at all before a very helpful person identifies the font.
In return, if you see a person’s post and you recognize the font in question, you can let them know what it is.
MyFonts has also developed a “
WhatTheFont” app for the iPhone.
So next time you find yourself trying to remember the name of a font, check out
MyFonts.com.
